Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D also known simply as Journey 3-D, is a 2008 family fantasy movie loosely based on the Jules Verne classic Journey to the Center of the Earth. The film is directed by visual effects wizard Eric Brevig and was shot using 3-D technology.

The movie stars Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson and Anita Briem. Fraser plays a geology professor, Trevor, on a quest to find his missing brother, max. On his journey he is joined by his nephew, Sean, played by Josh Hutcherson and a guide Hannah (Anita Briem), the daughter of one of Max's collaborators. The three discover a fantastic world beneath the surface.

The film is not a direct adaptation of the Jules Verne novel. Freaser's character uses the novel as his reference guide for navigating his brother's work and the world they find themselves in.
