Jonathan LaPaglia (b. August 31, 1965) is an Australian actor best known as Frank Parker on the time travel series, Seven Days. He was born in Adelaide, South Australia to Eddie and Maria LaPaglia. He is the youngest of their three children. His eldest brother, Anthony is also an actor. His initial interests were the fine arts but he attended and graduated from the University of Adelaide with a medical degree. He worked as a doctor in Adelaide and Sydeny and also London but later decided to follow in his brother's footsteps and explore acting.

He moved to New York City, in 1994 and joined the Circle in The Square teatre school. His breakthrough came in 1996 with a role as Detective Tommy McNamara on New York Undercover. He also appeared in the films Deconstructing Harry and Origin of the Species. In 2004, He starred in the TV series The District and followed up with the short-lived 2006 series, Windfall. Most recently, LaPaglia appeared in the Sci Fi Channel-aired movie Gryphon alongside Amber Benson.
