Jon Favreau

Jonathan Favreau (b. October 19, 1966, Queens, New York) is an American actor director, producer, and screenwriter who has worked on several popular films. Favreau attended Queens College but left before graduating for a career in comedy. He studied improvisational comedy with Del Close & was a member of the ImprovOlympic troupe in Chicago.

As an actor, Favreau has appeared on several comedy series. Notable guest appearances include Tracey Takes On, Friends (as Monica's billionaire software mogul boyfriend, Pete Becker), Seinfeld and King of Queens. In recent years, Favreau has become better known for his directorial projects, such as the hit Christmas film Elf, Zathura: A Space Adventure and the 2008 film based on the Marvel Comics superhero Iron Man. Among his notable film roles as an actor are the movies Deep Impact, Very Bad Things, The Replacements, Daredevil, Wimbledon and The Break-Up.

He is also a voice artist, having done work on several series, including Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, where he played Crumford Lorak.
