Johnny Smith is a fictional character who is the main character of the Stephen King novel, The Dead Zone, the 1983 movie by the same name, and the television series The Dead Zone (TV series). The Dead Zone began as a novel by Stephen King published in 1979. It was adapted into a movie directed by David Cronenberg in 1983 and a TV series starring Anthony Michael Hall in 2002. In all three versions, Johnny Smith is a character who falls into a coma, and awakens years later with precognitive abilities. External Links
