John Rogers

John Rogers is an American screenwriter whose most successful film to date is Transformers based on the popular toyline of the eighties and nineties. Rogers earned a degree in physics from McGill University. Prior to his contribution to Transformers alongside Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, Rogers worked on the films American Outlaws, Red Skies, The Core, Global Frequency and Catwoman for which he earned an unfortunate Razzie Award nomination.

Rogers has also written for television. He started out as a writer on Cosby and contributed an episode to the Sci Fi Channel series Eureka]. In 2008 he cowrites the TV movie Leverage with Dean Devlin.

He is also known as a comics writer, particularly in his work on the 2000s version of The Blue Beetle.
