John Noble (b. August 20, 1948) is an Australian actor born in Port Pire, South Australia. Noble is a prolific stage actor who has made occasional television series and films. He may be best known for his appearance in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King as Denethor. Other notable roles include guest appearances on Time Trax, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World, All Saints, Stargate SG-1, and Home and Away. His film appearances include Virtual Nightmare, The Monkey's Mask, Fracture, Voodoo Lagoon, Running Scared, and Risen.
