John Hannah (b. April 23, 1962, East Kilbride, Scotland, UK) is an actor. Hannah may be remembered by genre fans for his role in The Mummy film series as Jonathan Carnahan.
Before turning to acting, Hannah worked as an electrician. He gave up electrical work after being accepted to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. Years of small roles eventually led to his breakout performance in Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994). He made his genre debut in the TV movie, The Love Bug (1997) alongside Bruce Campbell and followed up with Sliding Doors starring Gwyneth Paltrow. Other notable genre appearances include guest appearances on Alias, Carnivàle, and Sea of Souls. In 2008, Hannah reprised his role as Jonathan Carnahan in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
