John Billingsley (May 20, 1960) is an American actor born in Media, Pennsylvania. He is perhaps best known as Dr. Phlox but he has made appearances in several genre films and television series.
Genre roles include the film The Sky's on Fire, and has guest starred on The Pretender, The X-Files, Touched by an Angel, FreakyLinks, Stargate SG-1, Angel, and Duck Dodgers. He has also had a recurring role on the short-lived series The Others.
