Joel Gretsch is an American actor born December 20, 1963 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He began acting in the 1990's with the TV Series Freshman Dorm. Since then, he has guest starred on several series including Melrose Place, JAG, CSI Miami and CSI: NY. He has also had roles in the films Minority Report, The Emperor's Cub and The Legend of Bagger Vance. He also had a role in the Steven Spielberg mini series Taken. In 2004, Gretsch took on the leading role of Tom Baldwin in the series The 4400.

Gretsch married Melanie Shatner, the daughter of William Shatner, on September 5, 1999 and has a daughter, Willow.
