JoBeth Williams (b. December 6, 1948, Houston, Texas). JoBeth first wowed critics and audiences with her emotional turn as Diane Freeling, the mother to a child lost to "the other side" in Steven Spielberg's Poltergeist and its first sequel, Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986). Her other genre credits include It Came from the Sky (1999), Endangered Species (1982), and television's seminal The Day After (1983).
