Jessalyn Gilsig (1971) is a Canadian actress born in Montréal, Québec. Gilsig is best known for her appearances on Boston Public and the FX series, Nip/Tuck. She has recently appeared on the NBC series Heroes as Meredith Gordon.
Gilsig is an alumni of McGill University where she graduated with a degree in English. She also studied at the American Repertory Theater Institute at Harvard. Gilsig moved to New York in 1995 and appeared in several off-Broadway plays.
Gilsigs earliest roles included voice roles in Mascarade, The Journey Home, Gulliver's Travels and Quest for Camelot. She has made guest appearances in the series Viper, The Sentinel, Seven Days, and Haunted. In 2000, she landed the role of Lauren Davis on the series Boston Public. She followed up with a recurring role on NYPD Blue and Prison Break. In 2003, Gilsig turned in a wonderful performance as the sex addicted Gina Russo on Nip/Tuck. She followed up with a recurring role on Heroes as Meredith Gordon.
Gilsig is married to producer Bobby Saloman. The couple has one daughter, Penelope born on September 26, 2006.
