Jesús Franco (Jesús Franco Manera) (b. May 12, 1930) Spanish film-maker who has made nearly 200 movies in all genres, many in a bewildering array of soft- and hardcore versions under various pseudonyms. Although he entered the European film industry in 1959, he made his horror début in 1961 with The Awful Dr. Orlof. Despite being shot quickly and often ineptly (Franco’s over-reliance on crash zooms quickly becomes irritating), the director and his films have achieved something of a cult status amongst many revisionist film critics with such films as Count Dracula (1970), Vampyros Lesbos (1970), Dracula, Prisoner of Frankenstein (1971), The Erotic Rites of Frankenstein (1971), La Fille de Dracula (1972), The Bare Breasted Countess (1973) and The Oasis of the Living Dead (1981).

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
