Jekyll is a BBC Network series loosely based on Robert Louis Steven's story Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The series stars Jame Nesbitt as Dr. Tom Jackman, the only living descendant of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Jackman has inherited the split personality of his ancestors and has made a deal with his dark side to share his body. Hyde is initially unaware that Jekyll has a wife and two children that he is determined to protect. An ancient organization with enormous power is keeping track of Jackman and have a plan of their own that has been centuries in the making.
Jackman hires Katherine Reimer to oversee the increasingly common transfer of power over his body between his two personalities. The two share a recorder and agree to inform each other of what they've done in each other's absence. Jackman makes a deal with Hyde never to seek out a cure. He realizes that his counterpart is not merely a mental phenomenon but that he undergoes dramatic physical changes in the transfer. Hyde is taller, stronger, more agile, but most importantly, deadly when threatened. As time passes, Jackman becomes increasingly distant from his wife, as he realizes her presence brings out Hyde.
When Jackman begins to realize he is being watched, a mystery begins to unravel revealing that his existence is far more sinister than he ever believed. His wife Claire, despairs for their relationship but becomes determined to fight for her husband.
