Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds (recording)

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds is a 1978 concept album by Jeff Wayne (and others) based on H.G. Wells's novel The War of the Worlds.

The recording stars Richard Burton as the narrator, the Journalist, and rocker David Essex as the Artilleryman.

Justin Hayward (of rock band the Moody Blues) sang the vocal for the song "Forever Autumn", which was also successfully released as a single.

Music and artwork from the recording are used in IGN's game Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds.

An animated film based on the album is in preproduction for release in 2007.
