Jean Rollin

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Jean Rollin (Jean-Michael Rollin le Gentil) (b. November 3, 1938, Paris, France - ) French writer and director, noted for his erotic, although often incomprehensible, vampire films. The Gothic chic he brought to such films as The Nude Vampire (1969), Sex and the Vampire (1969) and Requiem for a Vampire (1972) just looks woefully dated in his 1995 comeback Les deaux Orphelines Vampires. As well as directing a number of pseudonymous hardcore projects between 1973 and 1980, he also inherited Zombies’ Lake (1980) from Jesús Franco.
