Jaye Davidson (March 21, 1968, Riverside, California - ), born Alfred Amey is an American born actor of Ghanaian and English descent. His family moved to England when he was two years old. Jaye left school at 16 and performed several odd jobs including a stint as a fashion designer before he was discovered by a casting associate at a wrap party. His first film was the Oscar-nominated Crying Game. The movie was a big hit and Jaye earned an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor.
Davidson's success garnered him a role in the film Stargate. He played the evil alien Ra opposite James Spader and Kurt Russell. Following his venture into film, Davidson has focused mainly on fashion, working as a fashion assistant on shoots for the biggest names in the fashion industry.
