Jammer isn't known for his positive thinking. On learning that Cylons looked like humans his first instinct was toward suspicion of everyone with an "every man for himself" attitude. He also doubted Tyrol's ability to construct a new ship, the Blackbird. He eventually came around and helped complete the prototype vessel.
Jammer later settled on New Caprica and joined the resistance following the Cylon occupation. He was arrested by the Cylons and questioned about his actions. Jammer eventually joined the New Caprica Police, an organization the resistance considered traitorous to the human cause. He survived a suicide bombing on the NCP graduation Ceremony and did his duty in rounding up suspected insurgents.
Jammer experienced guilt for his role working with the Cylons to police his fellow colonists. After learning that the Cylons planned to execute two hundred of the suspected insurgents he managed to free Cally Tyrol enabling her to escape. He managed to survive the insurgents' attack against the Cylon Centurions tasked with the execution as well as the exodus from New Caprica.
Following the exodus, he returned to Galactica and shortly after, was brought before The Circle for an accounting of his misdeeds working with the Cylons. The Circle determined his guilt as a Cylon collaborator and despite his pleas for his life on the basis of having saved Cally, he was blown out the launch tube.
