James Frawley (1937, Houston, Texas - ) is an American director and actor.
While he may not be a household name, the odds are good that a television fan has seen his work.
After a few years in the business as an actor, including a two-parter (The Inheritors (Outer Limits episode)|The Inheritors) on the original The Outer Limits, Frawley became a director in 1966 of episodic television.
He directed the vast majority of the episodes of The Monkees, including many Sci Fi themed stories.
He has continued directing for more than 40 years, including several episodes of Ghost Whisperer.
In 1979, he directed one of his relatively few theatrical releases, The Muppet Movie.
