Character History

In the series' pilot, Jaime is a bartender. Despite being accepted to Harvard, she was forced to forgo a college education in order to care for her younger sister Becca. The siblings lost their mother several years before and have since been abandoned by their father.

Jaime became involved with local college professor, Will Anthros. The two had been dating for only five months when she announced she was expecting his child. Will asked her to marry him. The same night the two became involved in a near fatal car accident. Their car was hit by a Semi truck driven by Sarah Corvus.

Will, involved with the top secret organization, Berkut, survived mostly unharmed and had Jaime rushed to their facility where she miscarried and both legs and an arm were amputated and replaced with cybernetic limbs. She also received cybernetic eye and ear implants and anthracites in her blood stream that increased her ability to heal. Though her limbs are mechanical she maintains sensation and her strength and speed were dramatically increased. Implants in her brain provided basic fighting skills and also enable Berkut to track her and see through her eyes. The first Bionic Woman, Sarah Corvus taught her how to disable that feature.

Jaime was initially unsettled and disturbed by the sudden change in her life, particularly after fiancee, Will was shot to death by Sarah Corvus. Will's father, Anthony Anthros, with whom Sarah works, invented Bionics technology. After his death Jaime discovered he had a dossier on her containing information about her life going back before they met.

Despite some initial misgivings, became an agent for the covert anti-terrorist organization, Berkut, working under Jonas Bledsoe. In the series' first episodes, Jaime's sister Becca is aware that something has changed but not the nature of her sister's job. Though Jaime promised Becca she would never leave her, in "Face Off" Jaime learned that her Bionics would fail in five years and lead to her death. Jaime has already experience some of the glitches in the anthracites that will lead to the severe tremors experienced by Sarah Corvus.
