Jacques Vallee

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Jacques Vallee is a French ufologist. He was the inspiration for the Lacombe character in Steven Spielberg's movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

He is one of the more influential thinkers in the field. Coming from a scientific background, he initially analyzed reports for mathematical patterns. However, he came to consider that something more complicated than aliens flying through space to Earth might be needed to explain UFO reports.

He famously noted a connection between fairy sightings in the past and alien sightings in his time.
