Jack Carr, born in the '60s, was a fantasy enthusiast by the age of 10. He grew up in the Catskill Mountain area of New York. In the late '70s and early '80s, he became well known in roleplaying circles as a great storyteller. It was during this time that he teamed up with his lifelong friend Randy R Rasmussen to create The World of Black Hammer. Two decades later, Carr is continuing his work in the fantasy genre and his latest work includes two dark fantasy novels set in The World of Black Hammer: Despair, to be published in 2007; and the novel The Chronicles of Mortlok, also with a 2007 publication date.
