J. G. Ballard

James Graham Ballard (b. November 15, 1930, Shanghai, China) is a British author known for his postmodern dystopian fiction. Among Ballard's best known novels are the non-genre works Crash and the semi-autobiographical Empire of the Sun adapted for the screen in 1987. Among his science fiction novels are The Drowned World (1962), The Burning World (1964) and The Crystal World (1966).
