History
Isaac's drug problem overwhelmed him and he admitted to girlfriend Simone Deveaux that he had a problem. Simone was concerned about him particularly when he began to claim his paintings completed while high were depicting future events.
When Simone found Isaac passed out from a drug overdose, she turned to Peter Petrelli, her father's nurse, for help. While there, Peter saw that Isaac had created a vast and terrifying mural on the floor depicting New York's destruction. He also came across a painting of himself flying.
In the episode "Don't Look Back", Hiro Nakamura teleported himself into the future and discovered Isaac had been murdered, his body has been decapitated. Hiro tried to contact the artist several times after arriving in Las Vegas to warn him but he delivered his message in Japanese and Isaac did not understand.
After recovering from his overdose, Isaac came to terms with what happened to him. He tries to explain to Simone that the new paintings are of future events and not available for her art gallery. His paintings led him to realize he was losing her to Peter Petrelli. No longer wanting to get clean, he offered her older work hoping to get money for supplies and drugs as believes he needs to be high in order to paint the future. The ensuing argument between he and leads to their breakup.
Isaac continues to paint while high and as a result missed a visit from Peter and Mohinder Suresh. Peter returned later on his own and found Isaac before an incomplete painting of the cheerleader he was told, by a future Hiro, to save. Peter recognized a pattern to the paintings and the two put them in order but realized one the paintings had been taken bu Simone. The most recent painting was unfinished and Isaac explained that he ran out of drugs and was unable to complete it. Peter went into a trance and finished the painting.
Isaac was later taken by Eden McCain to the facility in Texas run by Mr. Bennet. He successfully recovered from his heroin addiction only to be forced to use drugs again in order to paint a picture Mr. Bennet hoped will save his daughter's life. After getting clean once again, Isaac ook up sketching for the sake of it and discovered he could draw and paint without using drugs. He met with Hiro and Ando and painted a scene of Hiro facing down a T-Rex with a sword.
Isaac later returned to New York and began painting again. He was also determined to lure ex-girlfriend, Simone back. He used his paintings to help Mr. Bennet track down Peter and his new associate Claude. Mr. Bennet gave Isaac a gun to take care of Peter should he visit him. Peter confronted Isaac about his actions and Isaac attacked him. Using his recently acquired powers of invisibility, Peter managed to elude Isaac and Isaac, shooting blindly, accidentally shot and killed Simone. He was saved from arrest by Mr. Bennet and his associates who led the cops to believe Simone was still alive.
Isaac later painted scenes of his own death at the hands of Sylar. His premonition proved true and Sylar killed him and took his ability.
