Isaac Asimov Presents The Great SF Stories 8 (1946) is the eighth book in the Isaac Asimov Presents The Great SF Stories anthology series from DAW books. This volume includes an overview of the major events of the year 1946, both inside and outside the world of science fiction, and then presents what editors Martin Greenberg and Isaac Asimov considered the sixteen finest short stories from the year, each preceded by a brief comment from each of the two editors.
Bonanza Books included this volume as the second half of their hardback, Isaac Asimov Presents The Golden Years of Science Fiction: Fourth Series, however that version omits the last two stories from the original DAW paperback: "Absalom" by Henry Kuttner and "Mewhu's Jet" by Theodore Sturgeon.
