Ingrid Pitt (Ingoushka Petrov) (November 21, 1937 - ) is a Polish-born actress and author. Although her genre début was in the Spanish Sound of Horror (1964), about an invisible dinosaur, she is best remembered for her lesbian Carmilla in Hammer’s The Vampire Lovers (1970) and full-frontal blood bath in Countess Dracula (1970). She also appeared in The House That Dripped Blood (1970) and The Wicker Man (1972) and has recently revived her career with cameos in a number of direct-to-DVD productions.
