Infinite Crisis is a limited comic series published by DC Comics. The series was written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Phil Jimenez, Jerry Ordway, George Pérez and Ivan Reis. The series continues the events of the 1985 series Crisis on Infinite Earths.

When the Anti-Monitor began destroying parallel universes in Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985), Earth-Prime was one of the first to be destroyed. The Monitor, attempting to thwart the Anti-Monitor's plan, saved the heroes of various worlds, and gathered them together in a limbo dimension to save what was left of the multi-verse. The Anti-Monitor was indeed defeated by the combined effort of the heroes of several worlds. The four suvivors of these lost universes, The Golden Age Superman and Lois Lane from Eath-Two, Alexander Luthor of Earth-Three, and Superboy of Earth-Prime, went to live in a paradise pocket dimension, while the few remaining universes combined into a single Earth.

In Infinite Crisis, DC Comics revisited the characters of their previous classic limited series. The series included the Earth-One Superman and Lois Lane, the Earth Three Alexander Luthor, and Superboy Prime. Events on the combined Earth had began spinning out of control. Wonder Woman killed a man on television, the Justice League was guilty of altering the minds of criminals, Sue Dibney was murdered by the Atom's old girlfriend, and Batman was reponsible for creating the Omacs, a deadly program which took over the bodies of innocents and turned them into robotic killing machines. Morale among the superhuman community was at its lowest. From the pocket universe, the four survivors watched all this and asked themselves, "Did we save the wrong Earth?"

After the death of the Earth-One Lois Lane, even the Golden Age Superman feels the despair. The three remaining survivors begin to plan to bring back a better Earth. Superboy Prime is particularly dedicated to the destruction of our own Earth, and recreating his own lost Earth Prime. Before the end, 52 parallel Earths are created and Superboy Prime will battle to the Modern Age Superboy to the death. And all this was just a warm-up for the next big series, "Final Crisis".
