Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is a 1984 Academy Award-winning action adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg and based on a story by George Lucas. The film is a prequel to the popular and successful Raiders of the Lost Ark. It is also the second Indiana Jones film but twenty-third production featuring the character. Harrison Ford reprises his Raiders of the Lost Ark role as Indiana Jones with Kate Capshaw filling the role of the female lead.
