Image of the Fendahl is a four-episode serial from season 15 of the long-running series Doctor Who. Its first episode premiered in the UK on October 29, 1977.

Synopsis

The TARDIS is drawn to contemporary England, where a professor named Fendelman is conducting experiments a pre-historic skull with his time scanner. But, the skull appears to be a full 12 million years old, pre-dating humanity by millions of years. Where can it possibly be from? and, more importantly, why does it seem to be exerting some sort of influence over one of the scientists studying it?
