Iceman is a fictional superhero comic book character owned by Marvel Comics. He is most famous for his association with the superhero team, the X-Men.

When he became a teenager, young Bobby Drake also came into his mutant power to lower his temperature to minus 106.7 Degrees Fahrenheit in less than a second. He can freeze the moisture around him, creating ice and snow at will. He turns his own body into ice and can travel by creating an ice bridge out of moist air that lifts him from the ground.

At first he and his parents kept his mutant power a secret. When an incident with a mugger caused him to use his power for the first time, he became the victim of mutant hysteria, and he and his parents were threatened with a lynching by his own community. He was saved by the mutant superhero Cyclops and Professor Charles Xavier. Professor Xavier used his mutant mental powers to remove the memory of Bobby’s ability from the community. Bobby enrolled in Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and became the second member of the mutant superhero team the X-Men.
