Ib Melchior

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Ib Melchior is a Danish screenwriter and director.

In the 1960s, he wrote some low-budget Sci Fi features, including The Angry Red Planet, Reptilicus, and Robinson Crusoe on Mars. He also contributed an episode to the original The Outer Limits, and was a writer on Curt Siodmak's 13 Demon Street series.

A controversial book by Ed Shifres in 1996 presented the case that Melchior was the uncredited originator of the concept for Lost in Space. While Melchior did work on the big screen remake, the issue is unresolved legally.

He is also the author of several books.
