Ian Fleming (May 28, 1908 London, England - August 12, 1964) was a British author.
He will forever be known as the creator of superspy James Bond, about whom he wrote a series of novels. He also wrote Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a children's book about a flying car that became a movie musical with Dick Van Dyke.
