I Am Legend is a 2007 film adaptation of the Richard Matheson novel of the same name. Directed by Francis Lawrence the film stars Will Smith as Robert Neville, the last man on Earth. Will Smith and his dog dominate the screen as the only characters in the film, barring occasional flashbacks. The film, revitalized less than spectacular box office receipts taking in over $77 Million in its opening week. The film received mixed but mainly positive reviews, largely based on Smith's performance.

Summary

Scientist, Robert Neville, is the last man alive, the survivor of a viral holocaust that appears to have wiped out all human life on the planet. But Neville is not alone, mutated victims of the plague are watching him as he searches for a cure, using his own blood.
