Humans (Stargate SG-1)

Humans are the most widely represented race in the Milky Way and Pegasus Galaxy. Mainly spread from Earth to other planets, many of their cultures bear similarities to those of Earth. SG-1 has come across civilizations that are connected to Minoan, Mongolian, Aztec, and Norse cultures. Some notable human planets beyond Earth include Langara, Abydos, Athos, Cimmeria, and Tollana.

Human Timeline

Several Million Years Ago, Alterans evolved in a distant galaxy tens of millions of years ago and discovered the path to Ascension. A philosophical divide resulted in a societal split forcing the less religious and science minded Alterans to leave their galaxy for the Milky Way. The remaining Ancients ascended at some point and became The Ori.
After thousands of years The Alterans arrived in the Milky Way known to then as Avalon. They spread out across the galaxy, planting Stargates/ Astria Porta. A plague wiped out much of their civilization and they decided to start over. Those who survived the plague left on Atlantis for the Pegasus Galaxy and the Ancients reseeded life in the Milky Way using the Weapon at Dakara.
Humans evolved once more on Earth and new human populations were seeded on hundreds of worlds throughout the Pegasus Galaxy.
11,000 years ago, a cataclysm on Altair made the planet uninhabitable and the Altairans moved under ground
10,000 years ago after the war with the Wraith, the remaining Lanteans returned to Earth through the Stargate and blocked access to Atlantis from other Stargate locations.

The Goa'uld Ra discovered humans on Earth in ancient Egypt and began using them as slaves. The goa'uld transported humans to planets all over the galaxy.

5,000 years ago, an uprising on Earth led to the end of Ra's reign on the planet. Earth's stargate was buried and knowledge of the goa'uld disappeared.
1928 Earth's Stargate was discovered at Giza
1945 Ernest Littlefield was sent through the Stargate in an experiment
1996 The first official team was sent through the Stargate to Abydos and Ra was killed
1997 Earth is attacked by Apophis and Jack O'Neill and his team returned to Abydos and discovered the extensive nature of the Stargate network
1999 Earth makes contact with the Asgard and make the first steps toward renewing the great alliance
2005 The Goa'uld System Lords are finally defeated along with the Replicators. The Ori are made aware of human life in the Milky Way and plan to convert all to Origin.
2006 The Milky Way begins to fall to the Ori. Langara and Chulak are converted to Origin.
2007 The Ori are defeated in both their home galaxy and the Milky Way thanks to SG-1. Earth is designated heirs to the Asgard legacy.
2007 The Atlantis expedition destroys the Asurans/Replicators and their home planet.
2008 Baal travels back to 1939 and prevents the Stargate from reaching the United States. SG-1 corrects the timeline.

Alternate Timelines

2004 SG-1 goes back in time to Ancient Egypt to find a ZPM. The timeline is altered and a video they leave behind leads Drs. Carter & Jackson to join O'Neill and his team to restore the timeline. They manage to repair the timeline and SG-1 discovers the ZPM they hid eliminating the need to time travel.
2010 — Earth joined the Aschen Confederation and birthrates drop 90% around the planet. SG-1 reunites to send a message back in time warning the SGC about the Aschen.
2079 — After accidentally being sent back to 1969, SG-1 is launched 80 years into the future when they try to return home and they meet an older Cassandra.
1939/2008 – Baal stops the Stargate from reaching the United States in 1939 and then plans an invasion of Earth in 2008.
