Howard Vernon

Howard Vernon (Mario Lippert) (July 15, 1914July 25, 1996) was a Swiss-American actor, best known for his more than thirty-five films with Jesús Franco, notably the “Dr. Orloff” series (1961-1988). He portrayed a green-faced Dracula for the director in Dracula Prisoner of Frankenstein (aka Dracula Against Frankenstein, 1972) and The Erotic Rites of Frankenstein (1972), and his numerous other European credits include The 1,000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse (1960), The Diabolical Dr. Z (1965), Alphaville (1965), Succubus (1968), Castle of Lust (1968), Bloodlust (aka Dr. Jekyll and His Women/Bloodbath of Dr. Jekyll', 1979), La Fille de Dracula (1971), A Virgin Among the Living Dead (1971), Zombie Lake (1980), Revenge in the House of Usher (1983), and Howl of the Devil (1988).
