Premise

As a total solar eclipse covers the planet, several people discover extraordinary superhuman abilities. Their abilities draw them to each other and together they must face and try to prevent a devastating future event, the destruction of New York City via a massive explosion.

The series follows the main characters as they discover their abilities and how it affects their lives. Though initially separate stories, the characters are tied together by events and peoples. Jack Coleman plays a mysterious man who interferes in the lives of those he and his cohorts discover to be gifted with unusual abilities. Eventually story lines intersect and the heroes meet as the date of disaster draws closer.

The series is complemented by an online graphic novel which adds detail not seen in the show and also gives fans an insight into upcoming events.

Nathan Petrelli

Nathan Petrelli is running for congress and refuses to let either his brother's wild theories or his mother's shoplifting damage his campaign. To secure his future he becomes involved with his recently deceased father's former business associate, Mr. Linderman. Nathan is in no rush to be a hero and is determined to protect his brother from his own desires to be one.
