Hellraiser is a 1987 British horror feature from writer and director Clive Barker. The film explored sadomasochism and centered on a puzzle box that once correctly manipulated summons the sadomasochistic demons, the cenobites, who take the user into a world of pleasure, pain, and sensuality. The film spawned several sequels.
