Surgeon Lieutenant Harry Sullivan is a character who appeared regularly in season 12 and part of season 13 of the long-running show Doctor Who. Harry's travels with the Doctor began in the season 12 opener, "Robot." A physician attached to UNIT (United Nations Intelligence Taskforce), Harry was assigned to look after the Doctor, who was behaving erratically after his recent regeneration. At the end of the story, the Doctor invited Harry to join himself and Sarah in the TARDIS.

As played by actor Ian Marter, Harry was exceedingly brave and unfailingly polite, although his clumsiness sometimes got him into trouble and his old fashioned views did not always please plucky feminist Sarah Jane Smith.

Having had enough of the Doctor's adventures, Harry departed the TARDIS as soon as it returned to present day Earth (in the season 13 opener, "Terror of the Zygons"). However, he also appeared in the Earth-based story "The Android Invasion," later in the same season.
