Haley Joel Osment

Haley Joel Osment (April 10, 1988 Los Angeles, California - ) is an American actor born to actor Eugene Osment and teacher Theresa Osment. He came to fame as the 11-year old star of The Sixth Sense. He also starred in Steven Spielberg's Artificial Intelligence: AI in 2001.

Osment got his start in acting at four when he caught the eye of a casting director. He made his film debut in 1994's Forest Gump playing the son of Tom Hanks' character. Other early roles include For Better or Worse, a regular role on the series Thunder Alley as Harry Turner and recurring roles on The Jeff Foxworthy Show Murphy Brown and and Walker, Texas Ranger.

Though best known for his breakout performance in The Sixth Sense which saw him nominated for an Academy Award, Osment had previous genre contributions, lending his voice to Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, and the TV movie The Lake also starring Yasmine Bleeth. Other notable films and series include the drama Pay It Forward with Helen Hunt, Kingdom Hearts, Secondhand Lions, The Jungle Book 2, IGPX: Immortal Grand Prix and Home of the Giants.

Upcoming films include the historical drama Truth & Treason which will also feature Max von Sydow.
