The series H.R. Pufnstuf debuted in (1969). A live-action puppet series from Sid & Marty Krofft, H.R. Pufnstuf starred Jack Wild as Jimmy, the boy with a magic flute, Billie Hayes as Witchiepoo, with Roberto Gamonet as Mayor H.R. Pufnstuf.

Only 17 episodes were broadcast but the show proved itself a cheesy cult classic, much like another Krofft series, Land of the Lost.
