Grimmric

Grimmric the 13th hails from Vordag. He is the son of the late Aleric, overseer of the southeastern region of the empire. Immersed in the barbarism of Vordag, Grimmric was instilled with the ruthlessness that runs deep in his folk. At a young age he was trained in the art of combat, quickly becoming an accomplished swordsman. His family, being in line to rule the Vordagian Empire, was falsely accused of treason by a challenger for the throne,Bellgrave. His family was stripped of power and tortured to death, but Grimmric escaped the unjust purge. He hid from his pursuers, traveling incognito for a time. He eventually escaped his empire’s borders, vowing revenge upon the new emperor, Bellgrave. Forced to start a new life outside his native Vordag, he became a wandering sword-for-hire. His skill as a fighter is not unknown throughout the lands and his sword, Malice, is a sorcerous weapon of impressive power. Grimmric still dons the garb of his countrymen, preferring to wear his father’s black cuirass engraved with his family crest, a black war hammer. His royal upbringing has instilled a taste for the finer things in life, and he can be arrogant at times, comporting himself as an outcast prince more than a renegade mercenary.
