Griffin Jay (1905-1954) American ‘B’ movie writer, best remembered for creating the clichés in Universal’s Mummy sequels (The Mummy's Hand (1940), The Mummy's Tomb (1942) and The Mummy's Ghost (1944)), he also scripted Captive Wild Woman (1943), Cry of the Werewolf (1944) and The Return of the Vampire (1944).
