Greg Grunberg is an American actor born in Los Angeles, California on July 11, 1966. He began performing in school plays in elementary and high school. He graduated from University High School in West Los Angeles and went on to study at San Diego State University and UCLA.
Grunberg created and ran a successful frozen yogurt delivery business and also worked for producers Dino de Laurentis and Joel Silver.
Although he became well known for the role of Sean Blumberg on Felicity, he had a long list of credits to his name prior to his appearance on the series.
He first appeared in small roles in the TV movies Stolen: One Husband (1990) and Frankenstein: The College Years (1991). He guest starred on Melrose Place, Flying Blind, Baywatch and Murphy Brown and appeared in the films Future Shock and Witchcraft V: Dance with the Devil.
He appeared regular in film and television throughout the 90s. He took on the role of Sean Blumberg on Felicity in 1998 and played the character until the series ended in 2002 . In 2000 he played Carter Abbey in the film Hollow Man alongside Kevin Bacon and Elizabeth Shue. Following the end of Felicity he appeared on the big screen in Austin Powers in Goldmember, Malibu's Most Wanted, The Ladykillers, and Connie and Carla. In 2001 he joined the cast of close friend J.J. Abrams' hit series Alias as Eric Weiss. He left the series shortly before its end in 2006. He also appeared in the pilot episode of Lost as the pilot and guest starred on The Dead Zone.
In 2006 Grunberg appeared on the big screen in Mission: Impossible III. He also starred in a short lived comedy series , The Jake Effect. Grunberg currently stars on the NBC series Heroes as Matt Parkman, a cop who develops the ability to hear the thoughts of others. In 2007, he'll appear in the family film Magic.
