The Golden Globes are awards given out annually for movies and television by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. They are awarded before the Academy Awards each year, and are sometimes looked to as an indicator. However, the Golden Globes have a different structure, looking at dramas in one category and comedies/musicals in another.
