Ghosts of Mars is a 2001 action horror feature from writer and director John Carpenter. The film was produced by Sandy King and Bob Shepherd and starred Natasha Henstridge and Ice Cube.

Plot

200 years in the future, police officer Melanie Ballard (Natasha Henstridge) and her team are assigned to transport criminal, Desolation Williams (Ice Cube) to a prison on Mars. A nearby mining team unearths a Martian artifact that unleashes an army of ghostly warriors who possess the bodies of the miners and are determined to wipe out human life on the planet.
