Ghostbusters II is the 1989 sequel to the film Ghostbusters. Ivan Reitman returns as director and the main cast of the previous film reprise their roles. The sequel picks up five years after the events of the first film, with the ghost hunting team plagued with lawsuits for their part in saving the city from destruction by supernatural forces. Forced to retire from ghost busting, they later decide to return to heroism when Dana (Sigourney Weaver) is plagued by an ancient sorcerer seeking to possess her baby.
