Gerry Anderson M.B.E. (b. April 14, 1929) is a British producer and screenwriter known for his work in scifi television. Anderson was born Gerald Alexander Abrahams in Kilburn , North London. He began his career as a photographer and worked with the British Colonial Film Unit where he nurtured an interest in film editing. He expanded his experience in film working for Gainsborough pictures.
