George Reeves (January 5, 1914 Woolstock, Iowa - June 16, 1959) was an American actor.
Although he had appeared in many movies (including a substantial role in Gone with the Wind), Reeves is best known for portraying Superman in the Adventures of Superman TV series in the 1950s.
