George Noory is the nationally known radio talk-show host of the nation's largest overnight program, Coast to Coast AM, a show focused on UFOs, ghosts, and other paranormal topics that is heard by millions each night on more than 500 stations in the United States and Canada, as well as on XM satellite and Internet radio.

While still a teenager, Noory joined NICAP, the UFO organization that was a precursor to today's MUFON. George immersed himself in the field, "so much so that I decided I wanted to go into broadcasting in order to do unusual stories in the paranormal and stories that the mainstream media didn't want to touch," he told After Dark.

With a 30-year history in the broadcasting field, Noory, known as "the Nighthawk," came to the attention of Premiere Radio Networks. He was brought on board to host the Sunday night Coast to Coast show created by Art Bell.

"Coast to Coast AM may just be the most unusual show I have ever witnessed or been a part of. You really almost have to be born into that arena, I think, in order to handle it. I was very lucky in that's the way I was guiding my own career. It was this thirst to really get to the bottom of some of these stories that kept pushing me," Noory said.

Noory served nine years in the U.S. Naval Reserve, and won three Emmy Awards as a news executive. But the venue of Coast to Coast AM enables Noory to pursue the unexplained on a grand scale.

A SCI FI Special Presentation, Into the Unknown with George Noory is a late-night talk-show special best described as "mysteries with a SCI FI twist." Taped in front of a live studio audience, the half-hour program will cover both the unusual stories in the paranormal realm and the "underneath the surface" topics that the mainstream media doesn't want to touch.
