George Miller ( March 3, 1945 Chinchilla, Queensland) is an Australian genre specialist, active as a director, writer and producer. Miller had a trio of high-octane, apocalyptic hits with Mad Max (1979), The Road Warrior (1981) and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985), all of which star fellow countryman Mel Gibson. George's other credits include The Witches of Eastwick (1987) and the "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" segment of Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983).
