Geordi La Forge (b. February 16, 2335 ) is a fictional character in the Star Trek Universe played by LeVar Burton. Geordi is the chief engineer of the Enterprise in Star Trek: The Next Generation. He is recognizable for being blind and is equipped with a VISOR that enables him to view the world, albeit not in the same way as a person with sight.
